The last time Caersws hosted this competition was 25th July 1987 making 2007 the

 20th Anniversary of International Quoits in Caersws

The Mid Wales village of Caersws and it's quoiting tradition - Link to the BBC Mid Wales page of Caersws.

Cymdeithas Cymreig Caersws will be holding a flower festival over the International weekend, with all village organisations being invited to produce one arrangement for the event.  The arrangements will be on display in the Village Hall on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July.  Caersws Quoits Club will be participating and with the theme of quoits, our arrangement is likely to be one of the heaviest on display!!

List of establishments offering accommodation close to Caersws - Trefeglwys is 4 miles, Newtown is 6 miles and Llanidloes is 8 miles.

The Red Lion pub in the small village of Llandinam is only two miles away from Caersws village along the A470 towards Llanidloes - Tel 01686 688233.

Llanidloes - market town 8 miles from Caersws and first town on the River Severn.

For those staying at The Aleppo Merchant Inn, on the side of the A470 in the "Laura Ashley" village of Carno 6 miles from Caersws, Pete and Jen will make you very welcome.  Unfortunately, there is now "No Room at the Inn" as they are fully booked for the quoits weekend.

Maesmawr Hall Hotel - 16th Century coaching inn one mile from Caersws.  The ghost comes free!!!

The Talkhouse - Two miles from Caersws on the A470 towards Carno.

Alternatively, Newtown the largest town in north Powys, birth place and burial place of social reformer Robert Owen, and home of the annual "Santa Run"  is only 6 miles away where there are a number of different types of accommodation and a Tourist Information Centre.
